Maxwell Theron Swainston was born early Wednesday morning, July 10th with a severe congenital diaphragmatic hernia. They thought things were well when it took a turn for the worst and his parents were rushed to Primary Childrens Hospital hours after his birth to spend some precious last moments with him. Max decided to fight, surprising doctors every day and earning him the nickname "Miracle Max."

Holding Max for the First Time!
After waiting 6 weeks to hold her baby, she finally got to for the very first time yesterday!
Hi, my name is Susannah and I saw your story on the KSL website. My son was born with CDH with only a 5% chance of survival. He just turned 10 2 weeks ago and is doing great! I had him at University hospital and he was taken care of at Primay Childrens Hospital. They are miracle workers and angels from heaven. I remember the first time I got to hold my baby and it is a day I will always remember. I am so glad he is getting stronger everyday. I know you don't know me, but if you ever need someone to talk to, please let me know. I can give you my number, etc. Congrats on your little one!
